ICD-10 is an international statistical classification used in health care and related industries.

Produced by the World Health Organization, it is used in several countries around the world. Some have gone on to develop their own national enhancements, building off the international version of the classification.

Chapter XII of ICD-10 deals with conditions affecting the skin and subcutaneous tissues. Examples of conditions captured using codes from Chapter XII include; dermatitis, cellulitis, and pressure ulcers.

  • Congenital malformations, deformations, and chromosomal abnormalities (Q00-Q99)
  • Endocrine, nutritional and metabolic diseases (E00-E88)
  • Lipomelanotic reticulossis (I89.8)
  • Neoplasms (C00-D49)
  • Symptoms, signs and abnormal clinical and laboratory findings, NEC (R00-R94)
  • Systemic connective tissue disorders (M30-M36)
  • Viral warts (B07-)
