Secara umum, kalimat aktif adalah sebuah kalimat dimana sang subjeknya melakukan kata kerja atau melakukan suatu tindakan. Berikut ini adalah beberapa contoh kalimat aktif dalam bahasa Indonesia :

Contoh, ketika kita ingin merubah kalimat present aktif menjadi kalimat past pasif, kita hanya perlu menambahkan To Be (was/were) lalu menambahkan V3 dan by…..

Contoh lain, ketika kita ingin merubah kalimat present continues aktif menjadi pasif, kita hanya perlu menambahkan to be (is, am, are) lalu kata ‘being’ serta V3.
